Message OK, this isn't really Z32 related, but it is partly Z related. The reason I ask this here is because, A) we're all car enthusiasts, and B) Despite not posting here much lately, I've been on this board longer than any other, I've met many of you, and those that I haven't I somewhat feel that I know you. That being said, here's my situation:

For the past 5 or 6 years, I've always owned two vehicles: a daily driver and a "fun" vehicle (first my TT, then an F4, then an R6, most recently an M3). I recently sold my M3 because this situation is no longer practical. I'm far to busy at work to handle 2 cars, and I just didn't get to drive the toy car enought o justify the expense. Plus, I should be buying a house soon.

So, in the spring, I need to replace my Maxima with a car that can pull double duty: daily driving and some weekend track excursions. Daily driving thus includes Northeast winters. (Now, I have no problem driving a RWD car in the snow with some snow tires. The winter is not too bad where I am right now.) So here are the cars I'm considering, and my impressions of them:

Evo: Reasonable price, fast, great steering/handling. 4 door, 4WD practicality. Decent styling I guess, but somewhat juvenile looking. Can run with supercars for a fraction of the price.

STi : Good price, fast, decent handling. Love the torque compared to the Evo (can you say 4-wheel burnout?) 4 door, 4WD practicality. Not a pretty car.

350Z: Z heritage. Quick, but needs more power IMHO. Looks good (much better in person than in pics) but I'm still not sold on the styling. RWD is both a plus and a minus. Considered the G35 also.

Pontiac GTO: This ought to get me flamed. Big V-8 is cool. (Can't justify buying a Corvette because I would insist on a Z06). But, Pontiac build quality. Not ugly, but nothing special. Handling nothing special either.

RX8: Great handling, lots of fun to drive. Looks much better in person rthan in pics but still not sold on styling. No torque!

In case you didn't notice, I like action pics =) Anyway, modding would be light, so the car must be capable stock. Fire away.
